My husband and I had the good fortune to work with Marcia Newlands and The Savory Gourmet. She catered our Christmas Open House.
During our 35 year marriage and 27 year business we have had countless opportunities to entertain and have worked with several caterers. This Open House was the best party that we have had to date, thanks to Marcia and her company. The menu, food and staff were over the top. Marcia made entertaining extremely easy and enjoyable. It goes without saying that she and her staff are very professional.

Marcia's confident approach in the kitchen enabled us to enjoy our guests without any concerns about the food, service or clean-up.
The dishes Marcia prepared were not only delicious but were very creatively plated and presented at the table. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. We particularly enjoyed the fact that many of the dishes were new to us and fabulous.
Marcia's enthusiasm and knowledge of food made the planning a joy rather than a burden. We were eager to try all of her suggested dishes and proud to offer them to our guests.

After experimenting with several different delivery services in the area, I would give The Savory Gourmet the absolute highest rating. The food is delicious and fresh, prepared with organic, local ingredients. My entire family loves the food, which is conveniently delivered to us weekly. For a busy family, there is nothing better than a healthy meal that only takes minutes to heat up!

I have been terribly impressed with The Savory Gourmet's ability to send food that has been cooked to just the right perfection---allowing me to reheat in the oven or microwave and still not be overcooked, vegetables still crisp-tender, noodles still al dente. The seasonings
used, whether it be for an Indian, Asian, or French dish, have intense flavor--there is no sense of a "pre-cooked packaged meal" whatsoever. And the food is so healthy and fresh. Certainly works for me!
